Seeing the Park Change Students
After stepping off the school bus, students on a recent field trip to Confluence Park ambled through the park chatting in groups, fiddling with backpacks and asking what time lunch would be served. Four hours of hands-on exploration of the River later, teachers and chaperones noticed the very same students zipping along the pathways in circles calling out every sound, bird, insect, butterfly and plant.
Later, a teacher would say, “I thought we may never get out of there! It was a great experience for the kids, I loved seeing the change in them.”
