AMEC Grand Opening Juneteenth Weekend – Presss Event

Join us for a weekend of free events celebrating the grand opening of Presence of the Past at St. James AMEC Culture on San Pedro Creek.

During the Press Event, The San Antonio River Foundation and the San Antonio River Authority will reveal Presence of the Past and the Culture Crossing Pavilion, a new public art feature by artist Gordon Huether along the San Pedro Creek Culture Park. Remarks during the unveiling will be delivered by artist Gordon Huether, representatives of the San Antonio River Foundation and San Antonio River Authority, and additional project partners. San Antonio Poet Laureate Emeritus Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson will also be on hand for the official reveal of the artwork’s concept.
