ART ALONG THE RIVER

The San Antonio River Authority’s (SARA) public charter drove the creation of the San Antonio River Foundation (SARF). SARA is not allowed to fund amenity projects, therefore SARF seeks investment from corporations and citizens in order to provide cultural, educational, environmental and recreational amenities along the river for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.

• Formed in 2003
• Private, non tax-revenue based, group raising private monies for amenity improvements
• 240 Miles of river – from the Blue Hole to the Gulf of Mexico
• San Antonio River Investment Partnership (SARIP) – a $384M partnership yielding over $1B in adjacent private investment to-date
• San Antonio River Foundation has raised $38M to-date, inlcuding $11M for Confluence Park

Your Generosity Has Changed Your World

Since 2003, our Foundation has privately raised and reinvested over $38 million dollars in enhancing your San Antonio River experience. Our project partners —the San Antonio River Authority, Bexar County, the City of San Antonio, and the US Army Corps of Engineers — have invested over $384 million in river improvements for our community. Together, our investments have added over $1.5 billion in economic impact through adjacent private investment and development.
